Connect your LinkedIn Page(s) to Google Looker Studio using Data Bloo’s free connector. This guide walks you through the setup process step by step.


Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have the following:

  • A Data Bloo account (sign up is free)
  • A Google account with access to Looker Studio
  • Admin access to at least one LinkedIn Page
  • Pop-up blockers disabled (to enable LinkedIn and Google OAuth flows)

How to Connect

Step 1: Sign in to Data Bloo

  • Go to hub.databloo.com
  • Click Sign in and log in using your Google account or email/password

Step 2: Add LinkedIn Pages Data Source

  • From the left-hand menu, go to Data Sources
  • Click on the LinkedIn Pages tile under “Add new data source”

Step 3: Authorize Your LinkedIn Account

  • Click Connect with LinkedIn
  • You’ll be redirected to LinkedIn to authorize Data Bloo
  • Accept the requested permissions so Data Bloo can access your page analytics

Step 4: Choose LinkedIn Pages

  • Select one or more LinkedIn Pages you manage
  • Click Connect Selected Pages

Step 5: Review Connection

  • Your connected page(s) will now appear under the LinkedIn Pages data source
  • You can add or remove pages as needed
  • Click Looker Studio to proceed to your dashboard

Step 6: Authorize in Looker Studio

  • Looker Studio will prompt you to authorize the connector
  • Grant access for both the connector and LinkedIn data
  • Click “Edit and share” in the top-right corner, then confirm with “Acknowledge and save
  • Wait for the dashboard to finish loading before interacting with it

Step 7: View the LinkedIn Pages Report

Your Looker Studio dashboard will now display LinkedIn performance metrics such as:

  • Followers (growth, demographics, locations)
  • Post Performance (likes, shares, comments, impressions, clicks)
  • Engagement Rates and Page Views
  • Visitor Demographics and Job Functions

Step 8 (Optional): Add Credentials or Switch Pages

You can update the dashboard filters or switch between multiple LinkedIn Pages.

This is useful when:

  • You manage multiple brands or regions
  • You want to compare page performance over time
  • You need tailored views for different stakeholders or clients

How to Edit the Data Source Configuration

  1. Open your Looker Studio report
  2. In the top menu, go to Resource > Manage added data sources
  3. Click Edit next to the LinkedIn Pages data source
  4. Select Edit connection in the schema view

Modify Page and Account Settings

  • Switch to a different LinkedIn account
  • Choose new or additional Pages to analyze
  • Adjust filters to refine your report based on geography, audience type, or time range

Finalize Changes

  • Click Reconnect
  • Confirm your choices by selecting Apply
  • Your report will now reflect the updated data source configuration

Troubleshooting

  • Data Security: Data Bloo does not store your LinkedIn data. All access is secure and read-only through LinkedIn’s API.
  • Free Forever: The connector is currently free, with no limits on users or data volume.
  • Multi-Page Reporting: Aggregate multiple LinkedIn Pages into a single dashboard for cross-page performance tracking.
