How to Connect Google Business Profile to Claude with MCP
Connect Google Business Profile to Claude with the Data Bloo MCP and ask about your calls, directions, reviews and Maps visibility straight from the chat. No Google Cloud project, no OAuth JSON, no terminal, paste one URL and sign in. Here's the 2-minute setup.
Your Data Bloo MCP URL
Paste this into Claude when you add a custom connector. Then expand Advanced settings and enter 43 in the OAuth Client ID field, leave the Client Secret blank. That's the whole secret; everything below is just where to click.
What connecting Google Business Profile to Claude actually means
You can ask Claude about your Google Business Profile and get a real answer, pulled from your actual locations, in seconds. Type "what did people do after finding us on Maps last month" and Claude reads your numbers and tells you, no export, no dashboard to open. The connection runs through the Data Bloo MCP, takes about two minutes to set up, and it's read-only.
Google doesn't publish an official Google Business Profile MCP server. The ones on GitHub are community projects, and they're capable, but they ask you to create a Google Cloud project, get the Business Profile API approved, download an OAuth credentials JSON and run a server yourself. Some of them also write: they'll post review replies to your public profile. Data Bloo reads and never writes, and there's nothing to install.
Stop clicking through every location. Start asking.
The same locations you already trust for your Data Studio reports, now answering questions in a chat. One question covers every location at once.
Ask, get instant answers
"Which location got the most calls last week?" Claude pulls the numbers and explains them.
Reports inside the chat
Ask for a 30-day local view and get tables plus a summary ready to share, no Data Studio setup.
Read your reviews for you
"Summarize what my reviews said last month, and what to fix." Paste it into Slack, email or a doc.
Diagnose a quiet month
"Why did calls drop at the Athens store?" Claude looks across locations, dates and actions and finds what slipped.
Blend beyond Google
Line local visibility up against Search Console, Facebook Ads or your WooCommerce revenue in one answer.
Connect once, use everywhere
The same Business Profile locations you linked for Data Studio are instantly available to Claude, zero duplicate setup.
Business Profile, plus every other connector
Already connected in Data Bloo? It's instantly available to Claude, connect once, use everywhere.
Three ways to connect Google Business Profile to Claude
There are three real options, built for different people. Here's the honest version, including the case where the answer isn't us, so you pick the right one the first time.
A connector like Data Bloo
Paste one URL, sign in once, ask in plain English. No Google Cloud project, no OAuth JSON, nothing to host. Read-only, blends across channels, and the same connection feeds your Data Studio reports.
An open-source MCP server
Google doesn't publish an official one, but the community does, gbp-mcp and google-my-business-mcp-server are the ones you'll find. Free and capable. The trade-off: a Google Cloud project, Business Profile API access, an OAuth JSON and a server you run and maintain. Some also post review replies for you, powerful, and public the second it's wrong.
The Business Profile dashboard
Open each location, read the Performance tab, copy the numbers into a sheet. Free, and fine for one location. At five locations it's your Monday morning, every Monday.
Data Bloo vs an open-source MCP vs the dashboard
The bottom line: if you want Claude to actually reply to reviews for you, an open-source server will do that, go in with your eyes open, because those replies are public. If you want to read, understand and report on your locations without handing an AI the keys to your public profile, that's Data Bloo.
When to use an open-source MCP instead
Data Bloo isn't the right tool for everyone. There's no official Google Business Profile MCP, but the community filled the gap, gbp-mcp and google-my-business-mcp-server are the two you'll see, and there's a review agent that drafts and posts replies. If you want Claude to answer your reviews rather than just read them, that's a real capability and we don't have it. Take the open-source route.
Go in knowing two things. First, the setup: a Google Cloud project, Business Profile API access, an OAuth consent screen, a credentials JSON, and a server you run and keep updated. Second, the risk: a review reply is public the moment it posts, under your business name, and you can't take it back before a customer sees it. That's a real trade for real convenience, just make it deliberately.
Data Bloo does the other half. It reads every location, every review, every call and direction request, blends them with the rest of your marketing, and feeds the same Data Studio dashboards you already send clients, and it cannot post anything, ever. If you want the analysis without the exposure, that's this.
What you need
Three things, and you probably already have them.
How to connect Google Business Profile to Claude
Pick your Claude client. Desktop & Web are easiest for most marketers; Claude Code is a one-liner for developers.
Launch Claude Desktop or claude.ai. In the chat input, click the + icon on the left to open the tools menu.
Hover over Connectors, then click Manage connectors to open your connector settings.
Click the small + at the top of the connector list, then choose Add custom connector.
Type Data Bloo in the Name field. That’s how you’ll find it inside any conversation later.
In the Remote MCP server URL field, paste https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp. Then expand Advanced settings and enter 43 in the OAuth Client ID field, leave the Client Secret blank.
Claude opens your browser on Data Bloo’s sign-in page, sign in and approve so Claude can read your data. You sign in once.
Start a new chat and try: "Using Data Bloo, pull impressions, calls and direction requests for my Business Profile locations for the last 30 days." Claude returns a table plus a short analysis.
Open your terminal and run:
claude mcp add --transport http databloo https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp
Next time you start a Claude Code session, Claude opens your browser to sign in to Data Bloo. Sign in once, the connection persists across sessions.
Run /mcp, you should see databloo with status connected.
Confirm it works: in a fresh chat, ask "Using Data Bloo, list all the Business Profile locations I have connected." If Claude returns your accounts, you're fully connected.
Take the MCP for a spin
Walk through connecting Google Business Profile to Claude and pulling a report, no signup, right here in the page.
Seven read-only tools, and none of them can post
You just ask in plain language, Claude picks the right tool. The typical flow: list_data_sources → get_connector_accounts → list_fields → query_data.
get_userlist_data_sourcesget_connector_accountslist_fieldsquery_datalist_accountsget_datesRead-only, always. Claude can pull and analyze your Google Business Profile, it can never reply to a review, edit your hours or change a single thing on your listing. There is no write path to switch off, because there isn't one.
No setup tax and all your dashboards in one connection
Every other route to Google Business Profile in Claude asks you to become a developer first, or to keep exporting by hand. Data Bloo asks for neither. It reads, it reports, and the exact same connection already powering your Data Studio dashboards now answers questions in Claude.
Nothing to install, nothing to host
No Google Cloud project to stand up, no Google Business Profile API to enable, no OAuth JSON to paste into a config file, no terminal. You add one URL to Claude and sign in. All seven tools are read-only, so Claude can read and analyze your Google Business Profile data but can't change a thing.
One connection, two surfaces
The Google Business Profile source you built for Data Studio is the same one Claude reads. No second setup, no second bill, and the numbers Claude quotes always match the dashboards you send clients. It's the one thing a Google-Ads-only developer tool structurally can't give you.
What Google Business Profile data you can pull
Everything in the Performance tab, plus the review text itself, across every location at once.
Total impressions split into Search and Maps, each split again by desktop and mobile. Four numbers most people never separate, and they tell very different stories.
Calls, direction requests, website clicks, messages, bookings, menu clicks and food orders, plus total interactions and interaction rate, so you can see how many lookers became doers.
Star rating and review count, and the actual review text, reviewer, date and your reply. Claude reads the words, so "what are people complaining about" is a question you can just ask.
Slice by location, city, address, category, postal code or store code, and by the search keywords that surfaced you. One prompt covers all of it.
Ask Claude to list the fields for your locations first, it confirms exactly what's available before it queries.
What Claude actually gives you back
Three real prompts and the kind of answer Claude returns once Google Business Profile is connected through Data Bloo, numbers, then a plain-language read.
Claude: 84 reviews, average 4.3 stars. Of the 19 at three stars or below, 11 mention waiting time and 6 mention parking. The waiting complaints cluster at the Kifisia location on weekends; parking is only ever mentioned at Glyfada.
Claude: Kifisia leads at 6.1%, 4,180 interactions from 68,400 impressions. Glyfada is 4.4%. Piraeus trails at 1.9%, despite getting the second-most impressions of the three.
Claude: Maps, 61,470 impressions, 88% of them mobile. Search, 24,180, split 54/46 mobile to desktop. Maps drove 94% of your direction requests and 77% of your calls.
Example outputs shown for illustration; your figures come live from your own connected account.

Common issues and fixes
You’re likely not signed in yet, or Business Profile isn’t connected in Data Bloo. Ask "Using Data Bloo, list the locations I have connected." If it comes back empty, open Data Bloo, confirm your source is connected, then try again.
Google renamed the product to Business Profile, but the API, and so the connector slug, google-my-business, still uses the old name. Same thing. If Claude says "Google My Business", it’s reading the profile you expect.
Google’s Business Profile Performance API caps the range at 18 months from today, so nothing downstream can go further back, that’s a Google limit, not a Data Bloo one. It’s also why the dashboard only shows you six. If you want longer trends, feed the data into a Data Studio report and let it accumulate.
Expected. Google’s own API says data can still be missing for days close to the request date, it settles over the following days. If yesterday looks thin, it usually isn’t. Compare complete weeks rather than the last 48 hours.
Query notes & FAQs
Add a custom connector in Claude, name it Data Bloo, and paste the MCP URL https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp. Sign in once, then ask Claude about your locations in plain language.
It’s free to start, no credit card. The free tier includes MCP access with usage limits; paid plans raise the limits and add more connected accounts.
No. All seven MCP tools are strictly read-only. Claude can read your performance data and your reviews, but it can never reply to a review, edit your hours, upload a photo or change anything on your listing. Some open-source GBP servers do post replies, this one has no write path at all.
No. Google publishes an official MCP server for Google Ads, but not for Business Profile. What exists is community-built, gbp-mcp and google-my-business-mcp-server are the ones you’ll see, plus a review agent that posts replies. They’re free and good, but each asks you to create a Google Cloud project, get Business Profile API access, download an OAuth credentials JSON and run a server yourself. Data Bloo is the hosted alternative: one URL, plain English, no Cloud project, and read-only.
Read, yes, the full review text, the reviewer, the date, the star rating and any reply you’ve already posted. So you can ask "what are people complaining about at the Piraeus store this quarter" and get a real answer instead of scrolling. Reply, no. Data Bloo is read-only by design. Claude can draft a reply for you to paste, but it can’t post anything to your public profile. If you want an AI posting replies unattended, you’ll need one of the open-source review agents, just remember those replies go live under your business name.
Eighteen months. Google’s Business Profile Performance API caps the range at 18 months from the request date, so that’s the ceiling for any tool, ours included, the Business Profile dashboard itself only shows you six. For longer trends, point the same connection at a Data Studio report and let the history build up.
Any MCP-compatible client, Claude Desktop, Web and Code, plus ChatGPT, Gemini and Cursor. The same URL works across all of them.
Yes. As long as they’re connected in Data Bloo, ask Claude to compare your locations against Search Console, Facebook Ads or your WooCommerce revenue, and it pulls one blended answer.
Claude queries your data live through Data Bloo’s connectors the moment you ask, subject to each platform’s API freshness and your plan’s refresh limits.
No. A free Claude account is enough to add the Data Bloo connector and start pulling Google Business Profile reports. Your Claude plan is separate from Data Bloo, and the connector works on Claude Desktop, Web and Code.
Yes. You sign in once through Data Bloo’s secure OAuth flow, and the connection is strictly read-only. Claude reads your data and nothing else, it cannot post a review reply, change your hours or touch your public listing. That matters more here than on most connectors: a bad review reply is public the second it lands.
Yes, and it’s the main reason to bother. Ask Claude to list your connected locations and it pulls and compares across all of them in one answer, every store, or every client, without opening a single dashboard.
Yes. Pair the MCP with Claude’s scheduled tasks or Claude Code for an automatic Monday-morning KPI digest, anomaly alerts or a recurring client update, unattended.
