What connecting Facebook Pages to Claude actually means

You can ask Claude about your Facebook Page and get a real answer, pulled from your actual Page insights, in seconds. Type "how did my Facebook Page do last month" and Claude reads your reach, follows and post engagement and tells you, no export, no Business Suite tabs. The connection runs through the Data Bloo MCP via the Facebook Insights connector, takes about two minutes to set up, and it's read-only, so Claude can analyze your Page but can never post to it.

One thing to keep straight: this is the organic side of Facebook, your Page, posts and followers. Running ads too? Those live in the separate Facebook Ads connector, and Meta's own MCP if you want Claude to manage campaigns. Want Claude to read, analyze and report on your Page, blend it with Instagram, Google Business or your ads, and feed the same data to your Data Studio dashboards? That's Data Bloo, and that's what the rest of this guide covers.

Why connect Facebook Pages to Claude

Stop exporting Business Suite. Start asking.

The same Facebook Page you already trust for your Data Studio reports, now answering questions in a chat. Facebook Page analytics without the exports or the dashboards.

Ask, get instant answers

"Which posts reached the most people on my Facebook Page last week?" Claude pulls the numbers and explains them.

Reports inside the chat

Ask for a 30-day Facebook Page view and get tables plus a summary ready to share, no Data Studio setup.

Client-ready summaries

"Turn last month's Facebook Page performance into an executive summary." Paste it into Slack, email or a doc.

Diagnose dips fast

"Why did reach drop last week?" Claude looks across posts, formats and dates and explains it.

Blend beyond the Page

Line your Facebook Page up against Instagram Insights, Facebook Ads, Google Business or GA4 in one answer.

Connect once, use everywhere

The same Facebook Insights account you linked for Data Studio is instantly available to Claude, zero duplicate setup.

Supported data sources

Facebook Insights, plus every other connector

Already connected in Data Bloo? It's instantly available to Claude, connect once, use everywhere.

Pick your route

Three ways to connect Facebook Pages to Claude

There are three real options, built for different people. Here's the honest version, including the case where the answer isn't us, so you pick the right one the first time.

Recommended for reporting

A connector like Data Bloo

Connect once and your Facebook Page data, plus every other source in Data Bloo, is available to Claude any time. Read-only, covers your organic Page metrics, blends across channels, and the same connection feeds your Data Studio reports.

Meta's official MCP

Meta launched an official MCP server on April 29,2026 at mcp.meta.com/ads. The catch is in the URL: it's built for ads, campaign management, catalogs and ad reporting. It has no tools for your Page's organic reach, follows or post engagement, and it needs a paid Claude plan.

A manual export

Export your Page insights from Meta Business Suite, save the file, upload it to Claude. Free, and it works once. Then you do it again next week, separately for every Page you manage.

The bottom line: if you want Claude to manage Facebook Ads, Meta's connector does that. If you want Claude to read and report on your Page's organic performance, across Facebook and everything else, and feed the same data to your dashboards, that's Data Bloo.

The honest bit

When to use Meta's official MCP instead

Data Bloo isn't the right tool for everyone, but for Facebook Pages the honest answer comes with a twist: Meta's official MCP doesn't cover them. Launched April 29,2026 at mcp.meta.com/ads, it's built for advertising, around 29 tools for campaign management, product catalogs and ad performance, and it's genuinely good at that. What it doesn't have is a single tool for the organic side of your Page: reach, follows, post engagement and video views aren't in it.

So the real question is what you're trying to do. If you want Claude to build, edit and pause ad campaigns, use Meta's MCP, that's its job, and note it writes to your account and needs a paid Claude plan. If you want a one-off look at Page performance, a Meta Business Suite export is fine, you'll just redo it every week. And if you want Claude to read, blend and report on your organic Page data, alongside Instagram, Google Business and your ads, that's Data Bloo. Plenty of teams run both: Meta's connector to act on ads, Data Bloo to report on everything.

Before you start

What you need

Three things, and you probably already have them.

A Data Bloo account with Facebook Insights connected. If you already use Data Bloo for your Data Studio reports, your Page is ready, connect once, use everywhere.
A Claude account. Desktop, Web or Claude Code all work, and a free Claude account is enough to start.
Pop-ups allowed for sign-in. Data Bloo's sign-in opens a browser window during setup, so make sure your browser isn't blocking it.

Under the hood

Seven read-only tools, why your Page stays safe

You just ask in plain language, Claude picks the right tool. The typical flow: list_data_sources → get_connector_accounts → list_fields → query_data.

Tool
What it does
get_user
Your plan, MCP access, usage limits and remaining calls.
list_data_sources
Every available connector, with its name and description.
get_connector_accounts
Your linked Facebook Pages, and the IDs to query.
list_fields
The valid metrics and dimensions for Facebook Insights.
query_data
The actual pull: metrics and dimensions over a date range.
list_accounts
Every connected account across every connector, in one call.
get_dates
Turns "last month" into the exact start and end dates to query.

Read-only, always. Claude can pull and analyze your Page insights, it can never publish a post, reply to a comment or change any Page setting. Nothing Meta could ever flag.

Why Data Bloo

Read-only safety and your dashboards, in one connection

Write-capable tools make you choose: hand an AI the keys to your Page, or keep exporting by hand. Data Bloo doesn't ask you to choose. It reads, it reports, and the exact same connection already powering your Data Studio dashboards now answers questions in Claude.

It can't touch your Page

All seven tools are read-only. Claude pulls and analyzes your Page insights, but it can't publish a post, delete a comment or change a setting, so there's no wrong instruction that could put your Page at risk. No safety checklist to memorize, because there's nothing to switch off.

One connection, two surfaces

The Facebook Insights source you built for Data Studio is the same one Claude reads. No second setup, no second bill, and the numbers Claude quotes always match the dashboards you send clients. It's the one thing an ads-only, write-first tool structurally can't give you.

The data

What Facebook Page data you can pull

The same metrics you use in your reports, sliced by post, date, country and city. Meta has retired some legacy Page metrics in recent years, the connector tracks what the current API exposes.

Reach & views

Page reach, impressions and views, page views and video views, how many people your Page and posts actually got in front of.

Followers & likes

Page likes and follows, new follows over time and total audience size, so you can chart growth week by week.

Post engagement

Reactions, comments and shares, per post and in total, so you can see exactly which content earns attention.

Breakdowns

By post, by date, and audience splits like country, city, age and gender where Meta's API still reports them.

Real answers

What Claude actually gives you back

Three real prompts and the kind of answer Claude returns once your Facebook Page is connected through Data Bloo, numbers, then a plain-language read.

"Pull reach, post engagement and new follows for my Facebook Page, last 30 days."

Claude: Last 30 days on your Facebook Page, 486,210 reach, 23,418 post engagements and 1,286 new page follows. That's a 4.8% engagement rate, up 12% on the prior period.

The read: reach and engagement are climbing together, the algorithm is rewarding the content, not just showing it more.
"Which posts got the most engagement in the last 14 days?"

Claude: Top, the behind-the-scenes reel from Tuesday, 2,340 reactions, 486 comments and 512 shares. Lowest, a link post at 41 total engagements. Your video posts drove roughly 5× the reach of your link posts this fortnight.

The read: lean into short video, and move links into the comments instead of the post itself.
"Where did last month's new followers come from?"

Claude: Germany leads with 612 new follows, Berlin at 214 and Munich at 102, then Austria with 148 and Switzerland with 96. Berlin's share is up 9 points versus the prior month.

The read: growth clusters where your stores are, worth timing posts to local peak hours and testing city-specific content.

Example outputs shown for illustration; your figures come live from your own connected Page.

Who it's for

Built for how you actually work

Same connection, different job to be done. Here's the prompt each type of marketer tends to start with.

Agencies

Pull and compare across every client Page without switching logins, then draft the monthly social report in the chat.

"Compare engagement and follower growth across all my connected Facebook Pages this month."

Content & social teams

Learn what actually earns reach and engagement, then plan next month's calendar around it instead of guessing.

"Rank last month's posts by engagement and tell me what the top five have in common."

Local businesses

See whether your Page actually reaches people nearby, and pair it with Google Business to get the full local picture.

"Where are my new followers, and which posts reached people in my city?"
Troubleshooting

Common issues and fixes

Claude says it can't see your Pages

You're likely not signed in yet, or Facebook Insights isn't connected in Data Bloo. Ask "Using Data Bloo, list the accounts I have connected." If it comes back empty, open Data Bloo, confirm your Facebook Insights source is connected, then try again.

The numbers don't match Meta Business Suite exactly

Small gaps are normal. Meta processes Page insights with a delay and keeps revising the most recent days, time zones shift which day a number lands in, and Business Suite sometimes shows slightly different metric definitions than the API. For trends, comparisons and reporting the Data Bloo pull is solid; for the last few hours, Business Suite is freshest.

A metric you used to track comes back empty

Meta has retired a number of legacy Page metrics over the past couple of years, organic-only impression splits, engaged users and several demographic fields among them, and shifted reporting toward views and follows. If a field is gone from Meta's API, no tool can pull it. Ask Claude to list the available fields for Facebook Insights to see what your Page reports today.

Claude won't post or reply for you

That's on purpose. The connection is read-only. Claude analyzes and reports on your Page; publishing posts and replying to comments stays with you, where it belongs.

Good to know

Query notes & FAQs

One breakdown dimension per call. For multiple breakdowns, ask Claude to run separate queries and combine them after.
Confirm fields first. Field IDs vary per connector. Claude usually lists fields before querying to avoid rejected requests.
!Legacy metrics may be gone. Meta retired several Page metrics in 2024–2025, listing the fields shows what your Page reports today.
Numbers vs Business Suite. Small gaps are normal, Meta finalizes recent Page insights over a day or two, and time zones shift daily totals.

Can Claude post to my Facebook Page or reply to comments?+

No. All seven MCP tools are strictly read-only. Claude can pull and analyze your Page data but can never publish, edit or delete anything on your Page. That's the point: analysis without handing over the keys.

Which Facebook Page metrics can I pull?+

Reach, impressions and views, page likes and follows, post engagement (reactions, comments, shares), page views, video views and post-level performance, with breakdowns by post, date, country and city. Claude queries your data live through Data Bloo's connectors the moment you ask. Note that Meta itself processes Page insights with some delay, so the most recent day or two can still shift.

Do I need a paid Claude plan?+
