Connect Klaviyo to Claude: ask about flows, campaigns & revenue
Put your Klaviyo account inside Claude and ask which flows earn their keep, which campaigns are burning your list, and where revenue per recipient is drifting. Campaigns, flows, forms, lists, segments and profiles, answered in the chat instead of exported from Klaviyo.
Your Data Bloo MCP URL
Paste this into Claude when you add a custom connector. Then expand Advanced settings and enter 43 in the OAuth Client ID field, leave the Client Secret blank. That's the whole secret; everything below is just where to click.
What connecting Klaviyo to Claude actually means
You can ask Claude about your Klaviyo account and get a real answer, pulled from your actual data, in seconds. Type "how did my flows do last month" and Claude reads your numbers and tells you, no CSV export, no dashboard to open. The connection runs through the Data Bloo MCP, takes about two minutes to set up, and it's read-only, so Claude can analyze your campaigns but can never change them.
Want Claude to actually build segments, draft campaigns and edit flows? Klaviyo ships its own MCP for exactly that. Want Claude to read, analyze and report on Klaviyo, line email and SMS revenue up against your paid channels, and feed the same data to your Data Studio dashboards? That's Data Bloo: one connection covering Klaviyo alongside Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and WooCommerce, so Claude can compare channels instead of reading Klaviyo in isolation. That's what the rest of this guide covers.
Stop rebuilding the same Klaviyo export
Klaviyo is built for sending campaigns, not for answering "why did revenue per recipient drop last week". Claude reads the same Klaviyo data behind your Data Studio reports and explains the movement, at campaign, flow, form, segment and profile level.
Ask, get instant answers
"Which Klaviyo campaigns had the highest click rate last week?" Claude pulls the numbers and explains them.
Reports inside the chat
Ask for a 30-day Klaviyo view and get tables plus a summary ready to share, no Data Studio setup.
Client-ready summaries
"Turn the last 30 days of Klaviyo into an executive summary." Paste it into Slack, email or a doc.
Diagnose dips fast
"Why did unsubscribes spike on Tuesday?" Claude looks across campaigns, flows and dates and explains it.
Blend beyond Klaviyo
Line Klaviyo revenue up against Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4 or WooCommerce in one answer.
Connect once, use everywhere
The same Klaviyo account you linked for Data Studio is instantly available to Claude, zero duplicate setup.
Klaviyo, plus every other connector
Already connected in Data Bloo? It's instantly available to Claude, connect once, use everywhere.
Three ways to connect Klaviyo to Claude
There are three real options, built for different people. Here's the honest version, including the case where the answer isn't us, so you pick the right one the first time.
A connector like Data Bloo
Connect once and your Klaviyo data, plus every other source in Data Bloo, is available to Claude any time. Read-only, blends across channels, and the same connection feeds your Data Studio reports.
Klaviyo's official MCP
Klaviyo runs a hosted MCP server at mcp.klaviyo.com/mcp. Over 200 tools that read and manage campaigns, flows, segments and profiles. The trade-off: it writes to your account by default unless you remember to add ?read-only=true, it only sees Klaviyo, and it needs an Owner, Admin or Manager seat.
A manual CSV export
Export a report from Klaviyo, save the file, upload it to Claude. Free, and it works once. Then you do it again next week, separately for every account.
Data Bloo vs Klaviyo's official MCP vs a manual export
The bottom line: if you want Claude to build segments and send campaigns, Klaviyo's own connector does that well. If you want Claude to read and report on your marketing, with email and SMS next to everything you spend, and feed the same data to your dashboards, that's Data Bloo.
When to use Klaviyo's own MCP instead
Data Bloo isn't the right tool for everyone, and Klaviyo's own MCP is genuinely good. It is hosted at mcp.klaviyo.com/mcp, free with your account, authenticates over OAuth, and exposes more than 200 tools across campaigns, flows, segments, profiles, catalogs, templates and reporting. If what you want is an assistant that builds a segment, drafts a campaign and edits a flow, use it. Nothing here competes with that.
The trade-offs are the ones you would expect. It writes to your account by default — read-only is an opt-in you have to remember, and this is a list of real people, not an ad budget. It needs an Owner, Admin or Manager seat. Some tools are still beta. And it only sees Klaviyo, so it cannot tell you whether the revenue it reports beat what you spent on Meta and Google that week, and it does nothing for the client dashboards you already send. Plenty of teams run both: Klaviyo's MCP to act, Data Bloo to read, blend and report.
What you need
Three things, and you probably already have them.
How to connect Klaviyo to Claude
Pick your Claude client. Desktop & Web are easiest for most marketers; Claude Code is a one-liner for developers.
Launch Claude Desktop or claude.ai. In the chat input, click the + icon on the left to open the tools menu.
Hover over Connectors, then click Manage connectors to open your connector settings.
Click the small + at the top of the connector list, then choose Add custom connector.
Type Data Bloo in the Name field. That's how you'll find it inside any conversation later.
In the Remote MCP server URL field, paste https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp. Then expand Advanced settings and enter 43 in the OAuth Client ID field, leave the Client Secret blank.
Claude opens your browser on Data Bloo's sign-in page, sign in and approve so Claude can read your data. You sign in once.
Start a new chat and try: "Using Data Bloo, pull recipients, opens, clicks and conversion value for my Klaviyo account for the last 30 days." Claude returns a table plus a short analysis.
Open your terminal and run:
claude mcp add --transport http databloo https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp
Next time you start a Claude Code session, Claude opens your browser to sign in to Data Bloo. Sign in once, the connection persists across sessions.
Run /mcp, you should see databloo with status connected.
Confirm it works: in a fresh chat, ask "Using Data Bloo, list all the Klaviyo accounts I have connected." If Claude returns your accounts, you're fully connected.

Seven read-only tools, why nothing can reach your subscribers
You just ask in plain language, Claude picks the right tool. The typical flow: list_data_sources → get_connector_accounts → list_fields → query_data.
get_userlist_data_sourcesget_connector_accountslist_fieldsquery_datalist_accountsget_datesRead-only, always. Claude can pull and analyze your Klaviyo data, it can never send a campaign, edit a flow or change a segment. Nothing that could touch a subscriber.
Read-only safety and your dashboards, in one connection
The write-capable tools make you choose: hand an AI the keys to your ad account, or keep exporting by hand. Data Bloo doesn't ask you to choose. It reads, it reports, and the exact same connection already powering your Data Studio dashboards now answers questions in Claude.
It can't touch your account
All seven tools are read-only. Claude pulls and analyzes your Klaviyo data, but it can't send a campaign, edit a flow or change a segment, so there's no wrong instruction that could put your account at risk. No safety checklist to memorize, because there's nothing to switch off.
One connection, two surfaces
The Klaviyo source you built for Data Studio is the same one Claude reads. No second setup, no second bill, and the numbers Claude quotes always match the dashboards you send clients. It's the one thing a Klaviyo-only, write-first tool structurally can't give you.
What Klaviyo data you can pull
The same metrics you use in your reports, sliced by campaign, flow, form, list, segment, profile and date.
Recipients, delivered, opens, clicks, open rate, click rate and click-to-open rate, for campaigns and flows alike.
Conversions, conversion value, revenue per recipient and average order value, plus SMS spend and SMS ROI, so attributed revenue comes through per campaign and per flow.
Campaign, flow, form, list, segment, channel, trigger type, status and date.
Klaviyo's profile fields carry historic and predicted CLV, churn probability, expected next order date and average days between orders.
What Claude actually gives you back
Three real prompts and the kind of answer Claude returns once Klaviyo is connected through Data Bloo, numbers, then a plain-language read.
Claude: Last 30 days on Klaviyo, 184,290 recipients, 78,420 unique opens and €92,140 in conversion value. That's a 42.6% open rate and €0.50 revenue per recipient, up 7% on the prior period.
Claude: Highest, Abandoned Checkout at €4.10 per recipient. Lowest, Welcome Series at €0.62. Abandoned Checkout earns about 6× more per recipient on a fraction of the sends.
Claude: Flows, €58,400 conversion value from 41,200 recipients. Campaigns, €33,740 from 143,090 recipients.
Example outputs shown for illustration; your figures come live from your own connected account.

Prompts to paste into Claude
Once connected, drop any of these into a fresh chat. Name Data Bloo in your first message, then drill into flows, campaigns or list health.
Built for how you actually work
Same connection, different job to be done. Here's where an agency lead, an ecommerce marketer and a lifecycle marketer each tend to start with Klaviyo.
Agencies
Pull and compare across every client account without switching logins, then draft the monthly report in the chat.
E-commerce & DTC
Track conversion value and revenue per recipient by flow, spot the campaigns quietly burning the list, and line email revenue up against store revenue.
Lifecycle & CRM
Watch list growth, segment churn and unsubscribe rate, and catch a shrinking active list before it eats next month's revenue.
Common issues and fixes
You're likely not signed in yet, or Klaviyo isn't connected in Data Bloo. Ask "Using Data Bloo, list the accounts I have connected." If it comes back empty, open Data Bloo, confirm your Klaviyo source is connected, then try again.
Small gaps are normal. Attribution windows differ, time zones shift which day a number lands in, and Klaviyo keeps updating recent figures as conversions come in. For trends, comparisons and reporting the Data Bloo pull is solid; for the last few hours of a live send, Klaviyo is freshest.
That one is Klaviyo's API, not the connector. Campaigns, flows, lists, segments, forms, profiles and account each come from a different endpoint with a different row shape, so they can't be mixed in a single pull. Date and account fields combine with any one of them. Ask Claude for one group at a time and compare the answers.
That's on purpose. The connection is read-only. If you need Claude to build a segment or send a campaign, that's Klaviyo's own MCP, not this.
Query notes & FAQs
Add a custom connector in Claude, name it Data Bloo, and paste the MCP URL https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp. Sign in once, then ask Claude about your Klaviyo data in plain language.
It's free to start, no credit card. The free tier includes MCP access with usage limits; paid plans raise the limits and add more connected accounts.
Klaviyo's MCP can change your account: it creates campaigns, edits flows and builds segments, and it writes by default unless you add a read-only flag. Data Bloo is read-only by construction, needs no admin seat, and reads Klaviyo alongside your ad platforms and store so you can compare email revenue with what you spent to get it. Many teams run both.
No. All seven MCP tools are strictly read-only. Claude can pull and analyze your data but can never send a campaign, edit a flow or change a segment. For that, use Klaviyo's own MCP.
Yes. Campaigns and flows both carry a channel dimension, and the SMS-specific metrics come through too: SMS spend, SMS ROI and message segment counts.
Any MCP-compatible client, Claude Desktop, Web and Code, plus ChatGPT, and Gemini. The same URL works across all of them.
Yes. As long as they're connected in Data Bloo, ask Claude to compare Klaviyo conversion value against Meta Ads, Google Ads or your WooCommerce revenue, and it pulls one blended answer.
Claude queries your data live through Data Bloo's connectors the moment you ask, subject to each platform's API freshness and your plan's refresh limits.
No. A free Claude account is enough to add the Data Bloo connector and start pulling Klaviyo reports. Your Claude plan is separate from Data Bloo, and the connector works on Claude Desktop, Web and Code.
Yes. You sign in once through Data Bloo's secure OAuth flow, and the connection is strictly read-only. Claude can pull and analyze your Klaviyo data but can never send to a subscriber, edit a flow or change a segment.
Yes. Ask Claude to list your connected Klaviyo accounts, and it can pull and compare across them, handy for agencies running multiple clients.
Yes. Pair the MCP with Claude's scheduled tasks or Claude Code for an automatic Monday-morning KPI digest, anomaly alerts or a recurring client update, unattended.
