How to Connect LinkedIn Ads to ChatGPT
Install the Data Bloo plugin from ChatGPT's directory, sign in once, and ask about impressions, clicks, spend, leads and cost per lead straight from the chat. No exports, no dashboards. It's read-only, so it's safe, and here's the 1-minute setup.
The Data Bloo plugin
Open Plugins in ChatGPT, search Data Bloo, hit Install and sign in. No LinkedIn developer app, no access token, no server URL and no API key anywhere in this setup. Everything below is just where to click.
What connecting LinkedIn Ads to ChatGPT actually means
You ask ChatGPT about your LinkedIn Ads and get a real answer, pulled from your actual account, in seconds. Type "@Data Bloo what did we pay per lead last month" and it reads your numbers, draws a small dashboard in the thread and tells you which campaign earned its budget. No exports, no Campaign Manager tabs. The connection runs through the Data Bloo plugin in ChatGPT's own directory, takes about a minute, and it's read-only.
LinkedIn doesn't publish an official Ads MCP server. The alternatives are building against the Marketing Developer Platform yourself, which needs an app, partner approval and token management, or exporting from Campaign Manager by hand. Data Bloo skips both: install from the directory, sign in once, ask in plain English.
Stop exporting Campaign Manager. Start asking.
The same LinkedIn Ads account you already trust for your Data Studio reports, now answering questions in a chat.
Ask, get instant answers
"Which campaigns had the lowest cost per lead last week?" ChatGPT pulls the numbers and explains them.
A dashboard, not a wall of text
Spend, leads and cost per lead come back as tiles and a campaign table, drawn inside the thread.
Client-ready summaries
"Turn last month's LinkedIn Ads into an executive summary." Paste it into Slack, email or a doc.
Diagnose a rising CPL
"Why did cost per lead climb this month?" It looks across campaigns, creatives and dates and explains it.
Blend beyond LinkedIn
Line B2B spend up against GA4 key events, your CRM pipeline or Google Ads in one answer.
Connect once, use everywhere
The same account you linked for Data Studio is instantly available to ChatGPT, zero duplicate setup.

Three ways to connect LinkedIn Ads to ChatGPT
They solve different problems. Here's the honest version so you don't set up the wrong one.
A connector like Data Bloo
One-click install from ChatGPT's directory, sign in once, ask in plain English. No developer app, no partner approval, nothing to host. Read-only, blends LinkedIn with your other channels, and the same connection feeds your Data Studio reports.
LinkedIn's Marketing API
LinkedIn's Marketing Developer Platform exposes everything Campaign Manager shows. Free to use, but access is gated: you register an app, apply for the Marketing Developer Platform, wait for approval, then manage OAuth and refresh tokens yourself.
A manual export
Export a report from Campaign Manager, save the file, upload it into the chat. Free, and it works once. Then you do it again next week, separately for every account.
Data Bloo vs LinkedIn's Marketing API vs a manual export
| Data Bloo | LinkedIn API | Manual export | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup | ~1 min, one click | App, partner approval, OAuth | New export each time |
| Reads your data | Yes, live | Yes, live | A snapshot |
| Changes your account | No (read-only) | Yes, if you request it | No |
| Blends other channels | Yes, 15+ connectors | No, LinkedIn only | By hand |
| Draws a dashboard in chat | Yes | Text answers | Text answers |
| Feeds Data Studio | Yes, same connection | No | No |
| Price | Free to start | Free, approval required | Free |
| Upkeep | None | Token refresh, re-approval | Redo it each time |
The bottom line: if you already have LinkedIn API access and a developer to point at it, that route is free and complete. If you'd rather skip the approval queue entirely, ask in plain English, and see LinkedIn next to the rest of your marketing, that's Data Bloo.
When to use LinkedIn's Marketing API instead
Data Bloo isn't the right tool for everyone. If you already have Marketing Developer Platform access and want every field LinkedIn exposes, building against the API directly is free and more complete than any hosted connector.
The trade-off is the gate in front of it. LinkedIn reviews applications for the Marketing Developer Platform and approval isn't instant or guaranteed, then you handle OAuth, refresh tokens and a server. And it only sees LinkedIn, so it can't tell you whether the leads it's reporting turned into pipeline, or how they compare with Google Ads. That's the job Data Bloo does.
Read-only safety and your dashboards, in one connection
The write-capable routes make you choose: hand an AI the keys to your ad account, or keep exporting by hand. Data Bloo doesn't ask you to choose. It reads, it reports, and the exact same connection already powering your Data Studio dashboards now answers questions in ChatGPT.
It can't touch your account
All seven tools are read-only. ChatGPT pulls and analyzes your campaigns, but it can't change a bid, move a budget or pause a campaign, so there's no wrong instruction that could put spend at risk. No safety checklist to memorize, because there's nothing to switch off.
One connection, two surfaces
The LinkedIn Ads source you built for Data Studio is the same one ChatGPT reads. No second setup, no second bill, and the numbers ChatGPT quotes always match the dashboards you send clients. It's the one thing a LinkedIn-only developer tool structurally can't give you.
What you need
How to connect LinkedIn Ads to ChatGPT
Seven clicks, start to finish. It works the same on ChatGPT web and the desktop app.
If you already use Data Bloo for your Data Studio reports, skip this, your account is ready. If not, sign up free and link your LinkedIn Ads account once.
Jump straight to Data Bloo in the ChatGPT plugin directory. You'll see sample prompts and the list of supported sources, LinkedIn Ads among them.
Open Data Bloo in ChatGPT →The black Install plugin button sits at the top right of the listing, next to the Data Bloo name.
ChatGPT opens Data Bloo's sign-in page. Log in with your Data Bloo account (or the email you use for your connectors) and approve read access.
Once installed, the button flips from Install plugin to Try in chat. Click it to jump straight into a new conversation.
Try: "@Data Bloo Which LinkedIn campaigns generated leads last month, and at what cost?"
If you have more than one account, ChatGPT asks which to analyze. Answer, and it returns a rendered dashboard plus a written read of what moved and why.
Confirm it works: in a fresh chat, type "@Data Bloo list all the LinkedIn Ads accounts I have connected." If your account comes back in the list, you're connected.

Seven read-only tools, why your spend stays untouched
You ask in plain language, ChatGPT picks the tool. The usual path for a LinkedIn Ads question: get_connector_accounts → list_fields → query_data.
get_userlist_data_sourcesget_connector_accountslist_fieldsquery_datalist_accountsget_datesPlus a built-in skill. The plugin ships with data-bloo-channel-analysis, so ChatGPT doesn't just fetch rows, it knows how a B2B marketer reads them: which campaign is buying leads and which is buying impressions, and what to change next.
Read-only, always. ChatGPT can pull and analyze your LinkedIn Ads data, it can never change a bid, a budget or a campaign setting.
What LinkedIn Ads data you can pull
The same metrics you use in your reports, sliced by campaign, campaign group, objective, creative and date.
What ChatGPT actually gives you back
Three prompts and the kind of answer ChatGPT returns once LinkedIn Ads is connected through Data Bloo, numbers, then a plain-language read.
ChatGPT: €18,940 spent for 214 leads, a €88.50 cost per lead. Impressions came to 1.42M at a 0.62% CTR and a €13.33 CPM. Spend is flat but leads are up 12% on the prior month.
ChatGPT: Best, Demo – Sponsored Content at €62.50 across 146 leads. Worst, Awareness – Video at €184 across 35 leads. The video campaign takes 34% of spend for 16% of leads.
ChatGPT: Top functions, Marketing (68 leads), Operations (41) and IT (33). By seniority, Manager (79), Director (52) and CXO (18). CXO leads cost €212 each, nearly 2.4× the account average.

Common issues and fixes
Start the message with @Data Bloo. Without the mention it may answer from general knowledge instead of reaching for the plugin, and you'll get a confident, generic reply that has nothing to do with your account.
You're likely not signed in yet, or LinkedIn Ads isn't connected in Data Bloo. Ask "@Data Bloo list the accounts I have connected." If it comes back empty, open Data Bloo, confirm your LinkedIn Ads source is connected, then try again.
LinkedIn attributes conversions over a window that keeps updating, and your account timezone shifts which day a click lands in. For trends, comparisons and reporting the Data Bloo pull is solid; for the last few hours, Campaign Manager is freshest.
Leads only report if the campaign uses LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms or a tracked conversion. Campaigns sending traffic off-platform have nothing for the connector to return. Ask for clicks and spend instead while you check the setup.
That's on purpose. The connection is read-only, so nothing in LinkedIn Ads can be changed from a chat. If you need to change something, do it in LinkedIn Ads itself.

No. Data Bloo is a listed plugin in ChatGPT's directory, so installing is one click and a sign-in. A server URL is only needed for clients without a directory, like Claude, and that's covered on our LinkedIn Ads to Claude page.
Yes, where LinkedIn reports them. Ask for leads broken down by job function, seniority or company size and ChatGPT pulls it, which is the whole reason people run LinkedIn Ads in the first place.

Yes. Ask ChatGPT to compare LinkedIn spend against GA4 key events, Google Ads or your CRM pipeline, and it pulls one blended answer.
The Data Bloo plugin ships its own interface, so results render as KPI tiles and a table inside the chat. The written analysis still appears underneath, and you can ask for a plain table any time.
