How to Connect Bing Webmaster Tools to Claude with MCP
Connect Bing Webmaster Tools to Claude with the Data Bloo MCP and pull clicks, impressions, CTR, average position and your top Bing queries straight from the chat, no exports, no portal. It's read-only, so it's safe, and here's the 2-minute setup.
Your Data Bloo MCP URL
Paste this into Claude when you add a custom connector. Then expand Advanced settings and enter 43 in the OAuth Client ID field, leave the Client Secret blank. That's the whole secret; everything below is just where to click.
What connecting Bing Webmaster Tools to Claude actually means
You can ask Claude about your Bing organic traffic and get a real answer, pulled from your actual Bing Webmaster Tools account, in seconds. Type "how did my site do on Bing last month" and Claude reads your clicks, impressions and average position and tells you, no CSV export, no portal to open. The connection runs through the Data Bloo MCP, takes about two minutes to set up, and it's read-only, so Claude can analyze your Bing search data but can never submit a URL or touch a setting.
One honest note: Microsoft doesn't publish an official Bing Webmaster Tools MCP. If you're a developer who wants to self-host a community server and automate URL submissions with an API key, that option exists and we cover it below. But if you want Bing organic sitting next to Search Console, GA4 and the rest of your marketing, in Claude and in your Data Studio dashboards, that's Data Bloo, and that's what the rest of this guide covers.
Stop ignoring Bing. Start asking.
Most teams watch Google Search Console daily and never open the Bing portal, even though Bing also powers DuckDuckGo, Yahoo and Copilot. Connect it once and the data comes to you.
Ask, get instant answers
"Which queries drove the most Bing clicks last week?" Claude pulls the numbers and explains them.
Reports inside the chat
Ask for a 30-day Bing organic view and get tables plus a summary ready to share, no Data Studio setup.
Client-ready summaries
"Turn last month's Bing search performance into an executive summary." Paste it into Slack, email or a doc.
Diagnose drops fast
"Why did Bing clicks dip last week?" Claude looks across queries, pages and dates and explains it.
Google & Bing, side by side
Connect Search Console too and Claude compares both engines in one answer, the blind spot most SEO teams never close.
Connect once, use everywhere
The same Bing Webmaster Tools account you linked for Data Studio is instantly available to Claude, zero duplicate setup.

Three ways to connect Bing Webmaster Tools to Claude
There are three real options, built for different people. Here's the honest version, including the case where the answer isn't us, so you pick the right one the first time.
A connector like Data Bloo
Paste one URL, sign in once, ask in plain English. No API key to generate, nothing to host. Read-only, blends Bing with Search Console, GA4 and Microsoft Ads, and the same connection feeds your Data Studio reports.
A community MCP server
Microsoft doesn't publish an official Bing Webmaster Tools MCP, but the community does, mcp-server-bing-webmaster is the best known, with 40+ tools. The trade-off: you generate an API key, run the server yourself, and some of its tools write to your account (URL submission, sitemaps).
A manual CSV export
Download a report from the Bing Webmaster portal, save the file, upload it to Claude. Free, and it works once. Then you do it again next week, separately for every site.
Data Bloo vs a community MCP vs a manual export
The bottom line: if you're comfortable in a terminal and you want Claude to submit URLs and manage sitemaps on Bing, a community server does that. If you want Claude to read and report on Bing organic, next to Google and the rest of your marketing, and feed the same data to your dashboards, that's Data Bloo.
When a community MCP server is the better pick
Data Bloo isn't the right tool for everyone, and the community servers are genuinely good. There's no official Bing Webmaster Tools MCP from Microsoft, but the gap is filled: mcp-server-bing-webmaster is the best known, with 40+ tools covering search performance, crawl diagnostics, sitemap management and URL submission. If you want Claude to push a new page to Bing's index the moment you publish it, that's something only a server built on the full Bing Webmaster API can do.
The trade-offs are real. You generate an API key in the Bing Webmaster portal (Settings → API access), keep it safe, and run the server yourself from a terminal, then keep it updated. That key carries write access, so a wrong instruction can actually change your account, the exact risk Data Bloo removes by staying read-only. And it only sees Bing, so it can't line Bing up against Search Console or GA4, and it won't feed the Data Studio dashboards you already send clients.
So it's a question of who you are. If you're a developer who wants to own the stack and automate indexing, take the community server. If you're an SEO or content team that wants answers before the standup, and Bing sitting next to Google in the same chat, take the one that's already hosted.
What you need
Three things, and you probably already have them.
How to connect Bing Webmaster Tools to Claude
Pick your Claude client. Desktop & Web are easiest for most marketers; Claude Code is a one-liner for developers.
Launch Claude Desktop or claude.ai. In the chat input, click the + icon on the left to open the tools menu.
Hover over Connectors, then click Manage connectors to open your connector settings.
Click the small + at the top of the connector list, then choose Add custom connector.
Type Data Bloo in the Name field. That's how you'll find it inside any conversation later.
In the Remote MCP server URL field, paste https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp. Then expand Advanced settings and enter 43 in the OAuth Client ID field, leave the Client Secret blank.
Claude opens your browser on Data Bloo's sign-in page, sign in and approve so Claude can read your data. You sign in once.
Start a new chat and try: "Using Data Bloo, pull clicks, impressions, CTR and average position for my site from Bing Webmaster Tools for the last 30 days." Claude returns a table plus a short analysis.
Open your terminal and run:
claude mcp add --transport http databloo https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp
Next time you start a Claude Code session, Claude opens your browser to sign in to Data Bloo. Sign in once, the connection persists across sessions.
Run /mcp, you should see databloo with status connected.
Confirm it works: in a fresh chat, ask "Using Data Bloo, list all the Bing Webmaster Tools sites I have connected." If Claude returns your sites, you're fully connected.

Seven read-only tools, why this can't touch your site
You just ask in plain language, Claude picks the right tool. The typical flow: list_data_sources → get_connector_accounts → list_fields → query_data.
get_userlist_data_sourcesget_connector_accountslist_fieldsquery_datalist_accountsget_datesRead-only, always. Claude can pull and analyze your Bing search data, it can never submit a URL, remove a sitemap, change a crawl setting or touch your site verification. Nothing to undo, ever.
Read-only safety and your dashboards, in one connection
The self-hosted servers make you choose: hand an AI an API key with write access, or keep exporting by hand. Data Bloo doesn't ask you to choose. It reads, it reports, and the exact same connection already powering your Data Studio dashboards now answers questions in Claude.
It can't touch your site
All seven tools are read-only. Claude pulls and analyzes your Bing search data, but it can't submit URLs, edit sitemaps or change a setting, so there's no wrong instruction that could put your account at risk. No API key with write access sitting in a config file, because there's no API key at all.
One connection, two surfaces
The Bing Webmaster Tools source you built for Data Studio is the same one Claude reads. No second setup, no second bill, and the numbers Claude quotes always match the dashboards you send clients. It's the one thing a Bing-only, self-hosted tool structurally can't give you.
What Bing Webmaster Tools data you can pull
The same numbers you see in the Bing Webmaster portal, sliced by query, page and date.
Clicks, impressions, CTR and average position for your site on Bing organic search.
The keywords Bing sends you and the landing pages that catch them, ranked by clicks or impressions.
Crawl stats like pages crawled and crawl errors, plus indexed pages, so indexing issues surface before rankings slip.
Slice everything by query, page and date, daily trends, top-mover lists and page-level deep dives.
What Claude actually gives you back
Three real prompts and the kind of answer Claude returns once Bing Webmaster Tools is connected through Data Bloo, numbers, then a plain-language read.
Claude: Last 30 days on Bing, 8,412 clicks from 316,780 impressions, a 2.66% CTR at an average position of 12.4. Clicks are up 9% on the prior period while impressions grew 4%.
Claude: Top query, invoice template excel, 612 clicks at 8.9% CTR from position 2.1. Three of the top ten sit at positions 4–6 with above-average CTR, led by free invoice generator at position 5.3.
Claude: Google sent 96,300 clicks, Bing sent 8,412, about 8% extra on top. But it's not spread evenly: /pricing gets 14% of its organic clicks from Bing, more than double the site average of 6%.

Built for how you actually work
Same connection, different job to be done. Here's the prompt each type of team tends to start with.
SEO teams
Close the Bing blind spot without adding another daily portal. Track queries, positions and indexing next to Search Console, in one chat.
Agencies
Pull Bing numbers across every client site without switching logins, and add a Bing line to the monthly SEO report clients never used to get.
Content teams
See which articles Bing rewards that Google doesn't, and mine Bing queries for content angles your competitors aren't watching.
Common issues and fixes
You're likely not signed in yet, or Bing Webmaster Tools isn't connected in Data Bloo. Ask "Using Data Bloo, list the accounts I have connected." If it comes back empty, open Data Bloo, confirm your Bing Webmaster Tools source is connected, then try again.
Small gaps are normal. Bing processes search performance data with a delay of a day or two, time zones shift which day a click lands in, and the portal's charts sometimes default to different date ranges than you asked Claude for. For trends, comparisons and reporting the Data Bloo pull is solid; for yesterday's exact figure, give Bing a day to settle.
Bing only reports on sites verified in Bing Webmaster Tools. If you never set it up, the fastest route is the portal's one-click import from Google Search Console, it copies your verified sites over in minutes. Freshly added sites also need a few days before search performance data starts flowing.
That's on purpose. The connection is read-only. If you need to submit URLs for indexing or manage sitemaps from a chat, that's a self-hosted community MCP with an API key, not this.
Query notes & FAQs
Add a custom connector in Claude, name it Data Bloo, and paste the MCP URL https://mcp.databloo.com/mcp. Sign in once, then ask Claude about your Bing organic traffic in plain language. No API key, nothing to host.
No. Microsoft publishes an MCP for Bing web search, but not for Bing Webmaster Tools. The alternatives are community-built servers that use the Bing Webmaster API with an API key you generate and host yourself, or a hosted connector like Data Bloo.
It's free to start, no credit card. The free tier includes MCP access with usage limits; paid plans raise the limits and add more connected accounts.
No. All seven MCP tools are strictly read-only. Claude can pull and analyze your data but can never submit URLs, edit sitemaps or change any site setting. For URL submission from a chat, you'd need a self-hosted community MCP.
Yes, and it's the best reason to connect both. With the Search Console connector linked in Data Bloo too, ask Claude to compare clicks, CTR and position across both engines by page or query, one blended answer, no spreadsheets.
Any MCP-compatible client, Claude Desktop, Web and Code, plus ChatGPT, Gemini and Cursor. The same URL works across all of them.
No. A free Claude account is enough to add the Data Bloo connector and start pulling Bing reports. Your Claude plan is separate from Data Bloo, and the connector works on Claude Desktop, Web and Code.
Yes. You sign in once through Data Bloo's secure OAuth flow, and the connection is strictly read-only. There's no API key with write access sitting in a config file, Claude can pull and analyze your Bing data but can never take an action on your account.
Not through Data Bloo, the connection is read-only by design. Submit URLs in the Bing Webmaster portal, or, if you want it automated from a chat, use a self-hosted community MCP server with an API key and accept the write access that comes with it.
Bing keeps roughly six months of search performance history, shorter than Google Search Console's sixteen. Anything inside that window, Claude can pull; for longer trends, start pulling now and build the history in your own reports.
Yes. Ask Claude to list your connected Bing Webmaster Tools sites, and it can pull and compare across them, handy for agencies running SEO for multiple clients.
Yes. Pair the MCP with Claude's scheduled tasks or Claude Code for an automatic Monday-morning Bing digest, a weekly Google-vs-Bing comparison or a recurring client update, unattended.
