How to Connect Bing Webmaster Tools to ChatGPT
Install the Data Bloo plugin from ChatGPT's directory, sign in once, and ask about clicks, impressions, CTR, average position and your top Bing queries straight from the chat. No exports, no portal. It's read-only, so it's safe, and here's the 1-minute setup.
The Data Bloo plugin
Open Plugins in ChatGPT, search Data Bloo, hit Install and sign in. No API key to generate, no server URL and nothing to host anywhere in this setup. Everything below is just where to click.
What connecting Bing Webmaster Tools to ChatGPT actually means
You ask ChatGPT about your Bing search performance and get a real answer, pulled from your actual site, in seconds. Type "@Data Bloo which queries bring clicks from Bing" and it reads your numbers, draws a small dashboard in the thread and tells you where you rank. No export, no portal to open. The connection runs through the Data Bloo plugin in ChatGPT's own directory, takes about a minute, and it's read-only.
Microsoft doesn't publish an official Webmaster Tools MCP server. The community projects that exist ask you to generate an API key, wire it into a config file and run a server from your terminal. Data Bloo skips it: install from the directory, sign in once, ask in plain English, and see Bing next to your Google Search Console data in the same answer.
Stop ignoring Bing. Start asking.
The same site you already track in your Data Studio reports, now answering questions in a chat, with the search engine everyone forgets.
Ask, get instant answers
"Which Bing queries gained the most clicks last month?" ChatGPT pulls the numbers and explains them.
A dashboard, not a wall of text
Clicks, impressions and average position come back as tiles and a query table, drawn inside the thread.
Client-ready summaries
"Turn last month's Bing performance into an SEO summary." Paste it into Slack, email or a doc.
Watch crawl health
Crawled pages, pages in index, inbound links and crawl errors, the things that quietly break and nobody checks.
Compare against Google
Line Bing clicks up against Search Console in one answer, and see where you rank better than you thought.
Connect once, use everywhere
The same site you linked for Data Studio is instantly available to ChatGPT, zero duplicate setup.
Bing Webmaster Tools, plus every other connector

Three ways to connect Bing Webmaster Tools to ChatGPT
They solve different problems. Here's the honest version so you don't set up the wrong one.
A connector like Data Bloo
One-click install from ChatGPT's directory, sign in once, ask in plain English. No API key, nothing to host. Read-only, blends Bing with Google Search Console and your other channels, and the same connection feeds your Data Studio reports.
A community MCP server
Microsoft publishes no official Webmaster Tools MCP, but community projects wrap the API. Free and open source. The trade-off: you generate an API key, wire it into a config file and run a server yourself.
A manual export
Export the search performance report from the Webmaster Tools portal, save the file, upload it into the chat. Free, and it works once. Then you rebuild the same filters next month.
Data Bloo vs a community MCP vs a manual export
| Data Bloo | Community MCP | Manual export | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup | ~1 min, one click | API key, config file, server | New export each time |
| Reads your data | Yes, live | Yes, live | A snapshot |
| Changes your account | No (read-only) | Varies by project | No |
| Blends other channels | Yes, 15+ connectors | No, Bing only | By hand |
| Draws a dashboard in chat | Yes | Text answers | Text answers |
| Feeds Data Studio | Yes, same connection | No | No |
| Price | Free to start | Free, open source | Free |
| Upkeep | None | You host and update it | Redo it each time |
The bottom line: if you're comfortable managing an API key and running a server, the community route is free and works. If you'd rather skip the setup entirely and see Bing next to Google Search Console in the same answer, that's Data Bloo.
When to use a community MCP instead
Data Bloo isn't the right tool for everyone. Microsoft publishes no official Webmaster Tools MCP, but community projects on GitHub do the job, they're free, open source, and if you want raw API access from a terminal they're the more direct route.
The trade-off is everything around it. You generate and store an API key, edit a config file and keep a server running. And they only see Bing, which misses the point: the useful question is almost always "how does Bing compare with Google here?" and a Bing-only tool can't answer it. That's the job Data Bloo does.
No setup tax and all your dashboards in one connection
Every other route to Bing Webmaster Tools in ChatGPT asks you to manage an API key and host a server, or to keep exporting by hand. Data Bloo asks for neither. It reads, it reports, and the exact same connection already powering your Data Studio dashboards now answers questions in ChatGPT.
Nothing to install, nothing to host
No API key to generate and store, no config file to edit, no terminal. You install one plugin and sign in. All seven tools are read-only, so ChatGPT can read your search data but can't submit a URL, change a setting or touch your site.
One connection, two surfaces
The Bing Webmaster source you built for Data Studio is the same one ChatGPT reads. No second setup, no second bill, and the numbers ChatGPT quotes always match the dashboards you send clients. It's the one thing a self-hosted, Bing-only server structurally can't give you.
What you need
How to connect Bing Webmaster Tools to ChatGPT
Seven clicks, start to finish. It works the same on ChatGPT web and the desktop app.
If you already use Data Bloo for your Data Studio reports, skip this, your site is ready. If not, sign up free and link your Bing Webmaster Tools site once.
Jump straight to Data Bloo in the ChatGPT plugin directory. You'll see sample prompts and the list of supported sources, Bing Webmaster Tools among them.
Open Data Bloo in ChatGPT →The black Install plugin button sits at the top right of the listing, next to the Data Bloo name.
ChatGPT opens Data Bloo's sign-in page. Log in with your Data Bloo account (or the email you use for your connectors) and approve read access.
Once installed, the button flips from Install plugin to Try in chat. Click it to jump straight into a new conversation.
Try: "@Data Bloo How is my site performing on Bing, and which queries bring the clicks?"
If you have more than one site, ChatGPT asks which to analyze. Answer, and it returns a rendered dashboard plus a written read of what moved and why.
Confirm it works: in a fresh chat, type "@Data Bloo list all the Bing Webmaster Tools sites I have connected." If your site comes back in the list, you're connected.

Seven read-only tools, and nothing to install
You ask in plain language, ChatGPT picks the tool. The usual path for a Bing Webmaster Tools question: get_connector_accounts → list_fields → query_data.
get_userlist_data_sourcesget_connector_accountslist_fieldsquery_datalist_accountsget_datesPlus a built-in skill. The plugin ships with data-bloo-channel-analysis, so ChatGPT doesn't just fetch rows, it knows how an SEO reads them: what's in striking distance on Bing, what's slipping, and where Bing outranks Google.
Read-only, always. ChatGPT can pull and analyze your Bing search data, it can never submit a URL, change a setting or touch your site.
What Bing Webmaster Tools data you can pull
Search performance plus the crawl and index health signals, sliced by query, landing page and date.
What ChatGPT actually gives you back
Three prompts and the kind of answer ChatGPT returns once Bing Webmaster Tools is connected through Data Bloo, numbers, then a plain-language read.
ChatGPT: 4,180 clicks from 186,400 impressions, a 2.24% CTR at average position 8.6. Clicks are up 9% and impressions up 4% on the prior month.
ChatGPT: Eleven queries where Bing position beats Google by three or more. The biggest gaps: data studio connector (Bing 6.8, Google 11.3), gsc report template (Bing 7.2, Google 12.8) and marketing dashboard (Bing 9.1, Google 14.4).
ChatGPT: Pages in index sit at 1,284 against 1,410 crawled, so 126 crawled pages aren't indexed. Crawl errors rose from 8 to 41 this month, mostly 5xx responses clustered on one date.

Same connection, different job to be done. Here's the prompt each type of marketer tends to start with.
SEO teams
Find the terms where Bing already outranks Google, and the crawl problems nobody is watching.
Agencies
Add a second search engine to the monthly report without adding a second dashboard.
Content teams
See which pages Bing likes that Google doesn't, and what that says about the content itself.
Common issues and fixes
Start the message with @Data Bloo. Without the mention it may answer from general knowledge instead of reaching for the plugin, and you'll get a confident, generic reply that has nothing to do with your site.
You're likely not signed in yet, or Bing Webmaster Tools isn't connected in Data Bloo. Ask "@Data Bloo list the accounts I have connected." If it comes back empty, open Data Bloo, confirm your Bing Webmaster Tools source is connected, then try again.
That's usually accurate, not a bug. Bing's share of search is much smaller in most markets, so a tenth of Google's clicks is normal. The value is in position and CTR, where Bing is often kinder, not in raw volume.
Bing and Google index and rank differently, and each anonymizes low-volume queries on its own terms. Terms appearing in one and not the other is expected, and it's often where the opportunity is.
That's on purpose. The connection is read-only, so nothing in Bing Webmaster Tools can be changed from a chat. If you need to change something, do it in Bing Webmaster Tools itself.

No. Microsoft doesn't publish one. The servers that exist are community projects, and each needs an API key you generate and a server you host yourself.
No. Data Bloo is a listed plugin in ChatGPT's directory, so installing is one click and a sign-in. A server URL is only needed for clients without a directory, like Claude, and that's covered on our Bing Webmaster Tools to Claude page.
Yes, and it's the main reason to use a connector rather than a Bing-only server. With both connected in Data Bloo, "which queries rank better on Bing than Google" is a single question.
Yes. Crawled pages, pages in index, inbound links and crawl errors all come through, so you can spot an indexing problem without opening the portal.
Yes. Connect each site in Data Bloo and name the client in your prompt. If you don't specify, ChatGPT asks which site to analyze first.
The Data Bloo plugin ships its own interface, so results render as KPI tiles and a table inside the chat. The written analysis still appears underneath, and you can ask for a plain table any time.
