How to Connect WooCommerce to ChatGPT
Install the Data Bloo plugin from ChatGPT's directory, sign in once, and ask about orders, revenue, average order value and top products straight from the chat. Then line store revenue up against your ad spend for true ROAS. Read-only, and here's the 1-minute setup.
The Data Bloo plugin
Open Plugins in ChatGPT, search Data Bloo, hit Install and sign in. No REST API keys to generate, no consumer secret, no server URL and nothing to host in this setup. Everything below is just where to click.
What connecting WooCommerce to ChatGPT actually means
You ask ChatGPT about your WooCommerce store and get a real answer, pulled from your actual store, in seconds. Type "@Data Bloo how did the store do last month" and it reads your numbers, draws a small dashboard in the thread and tells you which products carried it. No exports, no WooCommerce Analytics tabs. The connection runs through the Data Bloo plugin in ChatGPT's own directory, takes about a minute, and it's read-only.
WooCommerce ships a native MCP capability of its own, aimed at agent workflows inside the store. It's good at that. What it doesn't do is put your store revenue next to your ad spend, which is the question every e-commerce marketer actually has. That's the job Data Bloo does, and that's what the rest of this guide covers.
Stop exporting WooCommerce reports. Start asking.
The same store you already track in your Data Studio reports, now answering questions in a chat.
Ask, get instant answers
"Which products sold best last week?" ChatGPT pulls the numbers and explains them.
A dashboard, not a wall of text
Sales, orders and AOV come back as tiles and a product table, drawn inside the thread.
True ROAS, finally
Line store revenue up against Facebook, Google and TikTok spend in one answer, not three tabs and a spreadsheet.
Diagnose a slow month
"Why did revenue dip in week three?" It looks across products, coupons and customer types and explains it.
Client-ready summaries
"Turn last month's store performance into a summary." Paste it into Slack, email or a doc.
Connect once, use everywhere
The same store you linked for Data Studio is instantly available to ChatGPT, zero duplicate setup.
WooCommerce, plus every other connector
Already connected in Data Bloo? It's instantly available to ChatGPT, connect once, use everywhere.
Three ways to connect WooCommerce to ChatGPT
They solve different problems. Here's the honest version so you don't set up the wrong one.
A connector like Data Bloo
One-click install from ChatGPT's directory, sign in once, ask in plain English. No REST API keys, no consumer secret, nothing to host. Read-only, blends store revenue with your ad spend, and the same connection feeds your Data Studio reports.
WooCommerce's native MCP
WooCommerce ships an MCP capability of its own for agent workflows inside the store. Free and native to the platform. It's built for acting on the store, not for pulling revenue next to your ad spend, and it lives on your own WordPress install.
A manual export
Export orders or a report from WooCommerce, save the file, upload it into the chat. Free, and it works once. Then you do it again next week, and it never lines up with your ad data.
Data Bloo vs WooCommerce's native MCP vs a manual export
| Data Bloo | Woo's native MCP | Manual export | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup | ~1 min, one click | Plugin config on your site | New export each time |
| Reads your data | Yes, live | Yes, live | A snapshot |
| Changes your account | No (read-only) | Yes | No |
| Blends other channels | Yes, 15+ connectors | No, WooCommerce only | By hand |
| Draws a dashboard in chat | Yes | Text answers | Text answers |
| Feeds Data Studio | Yes, same connection | No | No |
| Price | Free to start | Free | Free |
| Upkeep | None | You maintain the WordPress side | Redo it each time |
The bottom line: if you want an agent that works inside the store, WooCommerce's native MCP does that. If you want to read and report on revenue with your ad spend in the same answer, that's Data Bloo.
When to use WooCommerce's native MCP instead
Data Bloo isn't the right tool for everyone, and WooCommerce's native MCP is good at what it's built for: letting an agent act inside your store, creating and changing things through the platform's own interfaces, on infrastructure you already control.
Where it stops is reporting across channels. It sees WooCommerce and nothing else, so it can't tell you whether last month's revenue justified the ad spend that produced it, or which channel drove the repeat customers. It also runs on your WordPress install, so its uptime is your uptime. That comparison is the whole job for most e-commerce marketers.
Read-only safety and your dashboards, in one connection
The write-capable routes make you choose: hand an AI the keys to your store, or keep exporting by hand. Data Bloo doesn't ask you to choose. It reads, it reports, and the exact same connection already powering your Data Studio dashboards now answers questions in ChatGPT.
It can't touch your store
All seven tools are read-only. ChatGPT pulls and analyzes your orders and revenue, but it can't edit a product, refund an order, change a price or touch a customer record. Nothing runs on your WordPress install either, so there's no plugin surface to secure.
One connection, two surfaces
The WooCommerce source you built for Data Studio is the same one ChatGPT reads. No second setup, no second bill, and the numbers ChatGPT quotes always match the dashboards you send clients. It's the one thing a WooCommerce-only server structurally can't give you.
What you need
How to connect WooCommerce to ChatGPT
Seven clicks, start to finish. It works the same on ChatGPT web and the desktop app.
If you already use Data Bloo for your Data Studio reports, skip this, your store is ready. If not, sign up free and link your WooCommerce store once.
Jump straight to Data Bloo in the ChatGPT plugin directory. You'll see sample prompts and the list of supported sources, WooCommerce among them.
Open Data Bloo in ChatGPT →The black Install plugin button sits at the top right of the listing, next to the Data Bloo name.
ChatGPT opens Data Bloo's sign-in page. Log in with your Data Bloo account (or the email you use for your connectors) and approve read access.
Once installed, the button flips from Install plugin to Try in chat. Click it to jump straight into a new conversation.
Try: "@Data Bloo How did the store do last month, and which products drove the revenue?"
If you have more than one store, ChatGPT asks which to analyze. Answer, and it returns a rendered dashboard plus a written read of what moved and why.
Confirm it works: in a fresh chat, type "@Data Bloo list all the WooCommerce stores I have connected." If your store comes back in the list, you're connected.

Seven read-only tools, why your store stays untouched
You ask in plain language, ChatGPT picks the tool. The usual path for a WooCommerce question: get_connector_accounts → list_fields → query_data.
get_userlist_data_sourcesget_connector_accountslist_fieldsquery_datalist_accountsget_datesPlus a built-in skill. The plugin ships with data-bloo-channel-analysis, so ChatGPT doesn't just fetch rows, it knows how an e-commerce operator reads them: which product carries the margin, which coupon is eating it, and whether the ad spend paid for itself.
Read-only, always. ChatGPT can pull and analyze your store data, it can never edit a product, refund an order or change a price.
What WooCommerce data you can pull
The same metrics you use in your reports, sliced by product, category, order status, payment method, coupon and country.
What ChatGPT actually gives you back
Three prompts and the kind of answer ChatGPT returns once WooCommerce is connected through Data Bloo, numbers, then a plain-language read.
ChatGPT: €96,480 net sales from 1,284 orders, a €75.14 average order value. Discounts came to €7,240 and refunds to €3,180. Returning customers made up 28% of orders.
ChatGPT: Top three, the Annual Plan (€38,600 from 412 orders), the Starter Kit (€19,200 from 336) and the Add-on Pack (€11,400 from 289). The Annual Plan has the highest revenue per order at €93.69.
ChatGPT: Combined ad spend across Facebook and Google came to €26,400 against €96,480 net sales, a 3.7× blended return. Facebook returned 4.6× and Google 2.9×.
Example outputs shown for illustration; your figures come live from your own connected store.

Built for how you actually work
Same connection, different job to be done. Here's the prompt each type of marketer tends to start with.
E-commerce & DTC
See revenue, AOV and returning-customer rate without opening Analytics, and catch a coupon quietly eating your margin.
Agencies
Put store revenue next to the ad spend you manage, and report on return rather than clicks.
WordPress site owners
Ask the question you actually have, without adding another plugin or another dashboard to maintain.
Common issues and fixes
Start the message with @Data Bloo. Without the mention it may answer from general knowledge instead of reaching for the plugin, and you'll get a confident, generic reply that has nothing to do with your store.
You're likely not signed in yet, or WooCommerce isn't connected in Data Bloo. Ask "@Data Bloo list the accounts I have connected." If it comes back empty, open Data Bloo, confirm your WooCommerce source is connected, then try again.
WooCommerce's own reports and the API treat refunds, taxes and shipping differently depending on the report and your settings. Ask ChatGPT which metric it used, net sales and gross sales are not the same number, and most mismatches come down to that.
By default reporting can include pending, on-hold or cancelled orders depending on how the store is configured. Ask ChatGPT to break the numbers down by order status to see exactly what's being counted.
That's on purpose. The connection is read-only, so nothing in WooCommerce can be changed from a chat. If you need to change something, do it in WooCommerce itself.
Query notes & FAQs
Connect your store in Data Bloo, then open Plugins in ChatGPT, search for Data Bloo, click Install plugin and sign in. Ask your first question with @Data Bloo. About a minute end to end, with no REST API keys to generate.
It's free to start, no credit card. The free tier includes plugin access with usage limits; paid plans raise the limits and add more connected accounts.
No. All seven Data Bloo tools are strictly read-only. ChatGPT can pull and analyze your orders and revenue but can never edit a product, refund an order, change a price or touch a customer record.
WooCommerce's native MCP runs on your WordPress install and is built for agents acting inside the store. Data Bloo is hosted, read-only and built for reporting, and crucially it sees your ad spend too, so it can answer whether the revenue justified the marketing.
No. Data Bloo is a listed plugin in ChatGPT's directory, so installing is one click and a sign-in. A server URL is only needed for clients without a directory, like Claude, and that's covered on our WooCommerce to Claude page.
Yes, and it's the main reason to connect WooCommerce here. With your ad accounts connected in Data Bloo, "compare last month's ad spend against store revenue" is a single question with one answer.
No. The connection is made in Data Bloo, so there's nothing extra running on your WordPress install and nothing new to keep updated or secure.
Yes. Connect each store in Data Bloo and name it in your prompt. If you don't specify, ChatGPT asks which store to analyze first.
The Data Bloo plugin ships its own interface, so results render as KPI tiles and a table inside the chat. The written analysis still appears underneath, and you can ask for a plain table any time.
